Our Story

Duck Truck Delivery was built from something simple, I genuinely love doing this.

I’m Ohio-raised, Midwest through and through, the kind of person who says goodbye and then ends up talking in the driveway for another 15 minutes. That warmth and community mindset is something I carry with me, now proudly serving Jackson, Mississippi.

Before starting Duck Truck, I worked with Walmart Spark, DoorDash, and Instacart. I loved the flexibility, the shopping, and especially helping people. But I kept seeing the same thing over and over in local Facebook groups:

“I wish I could request the same delivery person every time.”
“I wish they shopped at more stores.”
“I wish it felt more personal.”

That stuck with me.

So I thought why not build something where it is personal?

Duck Truck Delivery was created to offer consistent, flexible pickup and delivery services for homes and businesses throughout Jackson, MS. Whether it’s someone without transportation, an elderly neighbor who needs a hand, someone recovering from surgery, or a busy family trying to get through the week, this service exists to make life a little easier.

And the name? That part’s personal.

I’ve gone by “Duckey” since I was a kid, my username everywhere since the early 2000s was Rubberduckey. Over the years, friends and family started calling me Duckey, and when I first started delivering, my truck ended up completely decked out in rubber ducks. Naturally, it became known as “The Duck Truck.”

I don’t see this as just running errands. I see it as serving my community.

And I’m proud to bring a little Midwest warmth to Jackson, Mississippi, one delivery at a time.

The Original Duck Truck

The first “Duck Truck” was a Ram covered in dashboard ducks, including seasonal plushies that changed throughout the year. The name stuck long before it was officially a business. That truck is also where the blue in our brand comes from.

Purple has always been my favorite color, so it naturally became part of the brand as well.

Even though the vehicle has changed, the spirit hasn’t, and neither has the commitment to providing reliable pickup and delivery service across Jackson, Mississippi.
